Learn More About the Centers for Surgical Anatomy & Technique
The Centers for Surgical Anatomy and Technique ("the Centers") comprise the Thalia and Michael Carlos Center and the Alfred A. Davis Research Center. John E. Skandalakis, director and Chris Carlos Distinguished Professor of Surgical Anatomy and Technique founded Emory's Centers for Surgical Anatomy and Technique. The Centers' goals are to create a better understanding of the anatomical basis of modern surgical care by training MDs and PhDs to be surgical anatomists and by exposing the surgeons of tomorrow to anatomy. The Centers accomplish these goals by conducting research, publishing the results, providing elective courses to students, and providing research fellowships.
