Mission Statement
-
To
conduct and publish original research in surgical anatomy on fresh
tissue and embalmed cadavers, and in surgical anatomy and technique
through the activities of the Centers' affiliated surgeons;

To
provide undergraduate and medical student research opportunities;

To
remind practicing surgeons how to avoid anatomic complications in
the operating room;
-
To
disseminate
information
on surgical anatomy by way of printed materials and electronic media
in service of the community of surgeons;

To
educate the public as to the value and need of human cadaver
donation for research and education; and
-
To
further the teaching of human macro anatomy to the first year medical
student.
